ASHRAE 90.1 Training- Shums Coda

In this class we will explore the compliance paths available for use with projects complying with ASHRAE 90.1-2019 standard, and how to navigate the requirements found in each path. How the standard works to create a thermal envelope that will assist to conserve energy. The provisions for the mechanical systems design The electrical provisions found in the standard., daylighting, daylighting control, controlled outlets and required energy monitoring. We will do out level best to include the Oregon state amendments.

CE credits available for course completion.  Lunch provided for in person attendance.

Instructor: Gil Rossmiller

Having been in the construction industry for over 40 years, Gil brings a hands-on perspective to building code compliance. In 1994 he started his building code compliance career as a building inspector then plans examiner and served as the Chief Building Official for Parker, Colorado from 2003-2016. Gil has been active in building code development. He served on the International Residential Code / Plumbing and Mechanical code development committee for the 2009 and 2012 editions of the IRC. The International Commercial Energy Code development committee for the 2015 IECC, 2018 IECC. The Residential Energy Code Development committee for the 2021and 2024 IECC. Gil was honored in 2012 with the first Energy Code Champion award given by The Institute for Market Transformation.  Along with his current plans examining and inspection duties Gil has provided education for several organizations. International Code Council, Colorado Chapter ICC Educational Institute, EduCode, Region III, Johnson County Contractor Licensing Dept. and Arizona Building Officials.

 

Course location: Redmond City Hall- 2nd floor main conference room across from CDD.
